NSW: Street closures to address prostitution
SYDNEY, Feb 22 AAP - A three-month trial of road closures near Sydney's Kings Crosswas designed to rid the area of street-walking prostitutes, police said today.
Kings Cross Local Area Commander, Superintendent Dave Darcy, said police supportedthe South Sydney Council decision to close roads in East Sydney and Darlinghurst.
He said the proposal was a response to community pressure to rid the streets of prostitution.
