Wght: Australia wins gold and silver in snatch
MANCHESTER, Aug 3 AAP - Australia has won silver and bronze medals in the up to 75kgweightlifting class at the Commonwealth Games.
Queenslander Deborah Lovely won the silver for the snatch with a lift of 95 kilogramsbehind gold medallist Shailaja Pujari of India, who was successful with a lift of 97.5kg.
Victorian Saree Williams won bronze with her lift of 82.5kg.
Lovely, 21, screamed with joy when she successfully lifted her personal best of 95kg.
The Australians have the chance to win more medals in the clean and jerk and overall total.
